PROPHETIC  MEANING


he Bible compares the fleeting, fragile nature of human life to a passing flower or grass that flourishes briefly before withering. The primary verse is Psalm 103:15-16: "As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more"
.
Key biblical references regarding life as a flower include:
  • Psalm 103:15-17 (ESV): Emphasizes that while human life is short-lived like a flower.
  • 1 Peter 1:24 (NIV): "All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall".
  • James 1:10-11: Mentions that the rich will fade away like a flower in the field.
  • Job 14:2: "They spring up like flowers and wither away; like fleeting shadows, they do not endure".
