CHILDREN DANCING IN  CIRCLE WITH THE CHRIST Oil on Canvas 24 X 36   PROPHECTIC MEANING Jesus sometimes referred to children in His Gospels. I understand that it is because in the children we should be seeing the innocence and purity. We need to look forward to purifying ourselves to be able to come in and see the Kingdom of God, this is the meaning of to be born again in Spirit. Let us see some verses: "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18.3) "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." (Mark 10. 15) INSPIRATION My inspiration to paint this canvas came from a photo I have in my first blog and I love it so much because remind the love of Jesus for the children. Then when I was most finishing to paint it, I went in the office of my Bookkeeper and when he figured out, I was an artist and...

FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATER

Image
FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATER Oil on Canvas - 11 X 17 "   By Ruth Ferraz PROPHETIC MEANING “Who Believes in Me, It Will Be Like a Fountain of living Water” In the Bible, the phrase “whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them” comes from John 7:38 . Jesus uses the metaphor of “rivers of living water” to describe the spiritual life and abundance that come from trusting in Him.   Jesus had earlier told the Samaritan woman that He could give her “living water” that would never run out (John 4:10–14), symbolizing the Holy Spirit and eternal life. In John 7:38, He promises that those who believe in Him will experience a continuous, life-giving flow from within — a “fountain” of spiritual refreshment.   Symbolism of “Rivers of Living Water” Water as life : In Scripture, water often represents life, sustenance, and spiritual nourishment (Psalm 1:3; Ezekiel 47:1–12). Living water : Unlike physical water that runs out, “li...

MUSIC ACTIVATES BRAIN FUNCTIONS

Image
By Ruth Ferraz Music is not just sound. It is a direct stimulus to the brain, because the compass and rhythmic activated the left hemisphere which is the mathematics side and the melody works the right one which is responsable for the emotions and visualizations. Then, it helps to connect both sides, because they need to work together to follow the music. No wonders, that in the Old Testament in the Bible had a tribe, the Levites, which duty was to dedicate their lives to worship: playing instruments and singing, also they were taking care of the maintenence of the temple. For they it was giving the title, 10% of the harvest to provide food for them. When you listen to a song like a perfect classic one above — Passacaglia from Handel, it's not just emotion, it is motion. Your brain activates at the same time: – pleasure areas – memory  – and even motor areas.  That's why you not only feel… - you want to get up - want to sing - want to move. It's not a coincidence, maybe...

MUSIC IN THE BRAIN

Image
By  Nature Review Neuroscience Abstract Music is ubiquitous across human cultures — as a source of affective and pleasurable experience, moving us both physically and emotionally — and learning to play music shapes both brain structure and brain function. Music processing in the brain — namely, the perception of melody, harmony and rhythm — has traditionally been studied as an auditory phenomenon using passive listening paradigms.  However, when listening to music, we actively generate predictions about what is likely to happen next. This enactive aspect has led to a more comprehensive understanding of music processing involving brain structures implicated in action, emotion and learning. Here we review the cognitive neuroscience literature of music perception.  We show that music perception, action, emotion and learning all rest on the human brain’s fundamental capacity for prediction — as formulated by the predictive coding of music model. This Review elucidates ...
