DEARS DEERS IN DESOTO STATE PARK, AL
By Ruth Ferraz
This Oil On Canvas above is part of the ones for my Art Exhibition in the gallery in Fort Payne. You can see all the others here in this LINK.
By the Lord's Grace upon me, I live in an amazingly beautiful and wonderful area: my home is neighbour of Desoto State Park, Northeast, AL. In a town with about 300 people only, Mentone, AL. Praise because I hate big cities. Can you imagine that my hometown Sao Paulo, Brazil, is that biggest city in the Americas nowadays? I lived there for 40 years, then I moved to the Northeast of the country, Joao Pessoa, PB, beautiful beaches like Caribbean. Now I am living on the mountain for seven years! The Lord is good always.
The Desoto State Park is very close to my home, then I usually see families of deers, the mom, the male and babies bambis crossing the road even my garden. I need to cross the park every time to go to the big city Fort Payne. We need to drive slowly and paying attention to not hurt or kill some deers and other wild animals, even bears, I have seen one. If we see one wild animal, we need to rank to scary them to run inside the forests and be safe. Sometimes it is the hunt season and we can see the hunters pulling over they cars to go hunter. We see the park police also to catch them if it isn't season.
