This Oil On Canvas above is part of the ones for my Art Exhibition in the gallery in Fort Payne. You can see all the others here in this LINK.
In this post we will see my inspiration to fo the Oil on Canvas Black Eye Susan painting for the Exhibition in the Gallery Boom Tom last July/2025paint. This cute flower I always see along the roads here in Mentone and Fort Payne, AL, specially in the month of September. It is a wild perennial flower. It looks like a little Sun Flower, humble and simple, but with its own charm. Check it out the pictures I took today. I was tired this sunday afternoon to go, but I went in a hurry to get some pictures, before they would be gone by the wind:
The most direct Bible verses comparing life to a flower are Psalm 103:15-16 and 1 Peter 1:24, both of which state that human life is like the grass that flourishes as a flower of the field, only to be quickly gone and forgotten. These passages highlight the transient, temporary nature of human life and glory, contrasting it with the enduring Word of God, which remains forever.
- Contrast with God's Word:
- -1 Peter 1.24 continues by stating, "but the Word of the Lord remains forever". This contrast suggests that while earthly things, human life and glory are temporary.
- No wonder Jesus said that we should storage our treasures in Heaven, where the robbers not steal and the bugs do not eat.
