Above my favorite childhood landscapeBy Ruth Ferraz
"Verily I say unto you, unless ye be converted and become as LITTLE CHILDREN, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of God". (Matthew 18.3)
When I was a child, specially in Kindergarten, with 6 years old, usually I was drawing and painting with pencil, this kind of landscaping above, freely because my teacher never ever gave us ready draws to just paint them.
Dr. Betty Edwards dedicate part of a chapter to write about the Childhood Artistry, which is the natural and spontaneous draws and composition children make, because this is not good to give them ready draw for children just to paint, for we do not block their natural confidence to do draw freely. It is good to give them just a empty sheet for them to draw and paint freely as they are inspired. We can do this exercise also, remembering the satisfaction the draw could bring us when we were a child.
According Dr. Edwards, before the teenagerhood, between ages 9 and 10, finishes the artistic development in terms of drawing spontaneous skills because the complex perceptions of the world the child is getting. I think she means that simplicity of the child isn't so strong after 10, because the teenagers have more perception of complexities of the world and sometimes they become confused with the wrong things they see and fell, I would say the confusion of the adults world.
The children we once were still alive inside of us, it is the INNER CHILD, a expression used by psicologists. Sometimes, for some reasons it is shy and blocked, maybe because some traumas or whatever. We, the mature adult, need to help them to be healed and wholly again.
"DON'T PERMITE YOUR INNER CHILD BE GONE ANYWAYS!"
Here below, I will post some pictures of the draws Dra. Edwards`s book. Pay attention in the sense of composition and expression the children naturally have:
Look above how strong the arm and teeth of the big sister to protect the all family.
Above the child draw the all family in the left side and the house, which is the sense of home their have. Usually the sun is present in this kind of draw.
He needs a strong arm to hold the umbrella and the rain!
Look the bride with big eye lashes, the veil and beautiful shoes besides. How expressive draw!
Below it is some drawings from children going under cancer treatment in Saint Jude Hospital. These draws are from a calendar my husband got from the company he works. His company offer to the employees because the company support the hospital and it gave them. The kids are below 11 years old, pre-teens:
This one above I like the most: the baseball player is heating the cancer which is represent by the ball. Amazing creativity and expression. The boy who did is was 9 years old.
Any changes for donation will helps St. Jude Hospital, ok?
Averrit is the Company who support Saint Jude Hospital.
Below is my Inner Child draw. I made to show in my Workshop on Creativity in February/2025. Yes beloveds, it is possible we as adults to draw like children, but we need to purify and detox ourselves (mind, souls and bodies) from the junk of this Evil World, not just the food but mainly the thinkings. We can renew our minds with the Word of God, pure music and whatever that is wholly, then we will be even able to see the Kingdom of God, but WE NEED TO BE REBORN or BORN AGAIN. I need to remember that draws and emotions are connect with the ability from the Right Side of our brain, as well creativity also.
My Inner Child Draw
I will explain you the meaning of the draw above:- The girl represents the adult we are. The flower is the Inner Child inside of us. The adult is watering the flower with the Living Water of the Lord Spirit. The sun represents the Presence of God under whom we should be lead and walking.
MAY WE DO NOT PERMITE OUR INNER CHILD BE GONE!
Some Gospels verses related to this subject:
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19.14)
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and HARMLESS AS DOVE."(Matthew 10.16)
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man BE BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John3.3)
The Kingdom of God is already here and now. I can see it sometimes, it is a dimmension where I can have the perception of the Lord's Christ Light every where.
"And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU." (Luke 17.20-21, KJV)
May we look forward to be BORN AGAIN, which means to have a real experience with the Lord, what will lead us to change our lives, to be converted in a NEW CREATURE to be able to see His Kingdom, which is already here and now.
But if we are feeling so ful of wrongness, sick and lonely, may we ask Jesus Christ to heal and save us, for we have a experience with Him, for we never more have doubt that He is powerful.
The text below is Jesus saying to Nicodemus about TO BE BORN AGAIN. It is from the Bible King James Version, book of John 3.1-8. KJV is the most accurated version from the original in Greek.
"There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
My research in Google is below:
Jesus told Nicodemus that to see or enter the kingdom of God, a person must be born again of water and the Spirit, meaning a spiritual transformation and new birth by God's power, not a physical one. When Nicodemus questioned this physical impossibility, Jesus explained it was like the unseen work of the wind, a spiritual rebirth that makes someone a new creation. Nicodemus's Query:
Nicodemus, a Pharisee and Jewish ruler, recognized Jesus as a teacher from God due to the miracles he performed. He came to Jesus by night, seeking to understand how to enter the kingdom. Jesus's First Statement:
Jesus's direct answer was, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". Nicodemus's Confusion:
Nicodemus, interpreting "born again" in a physical sense, asked how someone could be born again when old, thinking of re-entering the womb. The Spiritual Birth:
Jesus clarified that he meant a spiritual birth, saying, "Unless one is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God". Spiritual vs. Physical:
He emphasized the distinction: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit". The Wind Analogy:
To illustrate the unseen nature of this spiritual birth, Jesus used the analogy of the wind: "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit".
Jesus's conversation with Nicodemus highlights that entrance into God's kingdom is not based on religious lineage or earthly status, but on a radical, life-changing spiritual transformation initiated by God. This "birth from above" is a divine work, making a person a new creation in Christ.
God bless you beloveds. I hope I will see you in Heaven.
