In a town with about 300 people only, Mentone, AL.  Praise because I hate big cities.  Can you imagine that my hometown Sao Paulo, Brazil, is that biggest city in the Americas nowadays? I lived there for 40 years, then I moved to the Northeast of the country,  Joao Pessoa, PB, beautiful  beaches like Caribbean. Now I am living on the mountain for seven years! The Lord is good always. The Desoto State Park is very close to my home, then I usually see families of deers, the mom, the male and babies bambis crossing the road even my garden.    By Ruth Ferraz The eyes, that permit we have sight, are the most important gift some body can have. We should protect them every moment, doing eyes exercises, even taking supplements  especific to strengthen  them, using screens with moderation, etc.   Do you know that the Lutein, an importante vitamin is good for the eyes? And people usually eat poor eggs from poor chickens raised in Chicken Farms without sun and with minimum space to survive  😭. Let's go eat eggs from Happy Chicken living and having fun under the sun, raised free in the field to strengthen  not just our eyes but our all being. Since we open the eyes in the morning we just use them without the care we should have, specially nowadays with the excessive use of screens. In this post we will see my inspiration to fo the Oil on Canvas  Black Eye Susan painting for the Exhibition in the Gallery Boom Tom last July/2025paint. This cute flower I always see along the roads here in Mentone and Fort Payne, AL, specially in the month of September.  It is a wild perennial flower. It looks like a little Sun Flower, humble and simple, but with its own charm. Check it out the pictures I took today.           Tennessee  River view from Section, AL This week I was so inspired to paint some river and enjoy what I have painted already about the Little River and Tennessee River in Northeast AL, because we are  practicing the music River Glorious,  in the Choir Rehearses on Wednesdays. Soon we will be singing it in a Service in First Baptist Church in Fort Payne, AL. If you are in the area come to worship with us or if you are not, worship where you are and our voices will be lift up  meeting in Heaven, for Him there isn't space or distance! This music is so beautiful that makes me cry, what is good to release some blocked emotions!                             THE FISHERMEN                   Oil on  Canvas  -  16 X 20" My last Oil on Canvas which I just finished today, 09/04/2025. It is a copy from another I painted  when I was in the last year of High Scchool in 1982. Wow...43 years ago I did this one below. I fell like the same energy of creativity I had that time still here with me! Praise.  I painted this canvas above with the orientation of my Art Teacher, who even gave me some Oil Painting. It is a copy of a picture which own a premium of the Best Original Photography in a contest. Unfortunately my Art Teacher from High School didn't teach me how to do realistic drawing. In my Workshop on Creativity I teach  the students some techniques  in how to to reproduce a picture.

          A bove my favorite childhood landscape By Ruth Ferraz " Verily I say unto you, unless ye be converted and become as  LITTLE CHILDREN, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of God". ( Matthew 18.3) When I was a child, specially  in Kindergarten, with 6 years old,  usually I was drawing and painting with pencil, this kind of landscaping above, freely because my teacher never ever gave us ready draws to just paint them. Dr. Betty Edwards dedicate part of a chapter to write about the Childhood Artistry, which is the natural and spontaneous draws and composition children make, because this is not good to give them ready draw for children just to paint, for we do not block their natural confidence to do draw freely.  It is good to give them just a empty sheet for them to draw and paint freely as they are inspired.
